Barbados: passport and entry requirements
Barbados is visa-free for a holiday, with an online form to fill in before you arrive. Your passport just has to last the length of your stay, and there's a departure tax that children pay too from the age of two.

Your passport
Your passport needs to be valid for the planned length of your stay, and everyone travels on their own, children included. Children's passports run for five years and adults' for ten, so check each when you book and renew any that are close, since a new one takes weeks.
Getting in
You don't need a visa to visit Barbados, and you're told how long you can stay when you arrive, with the Immigration Department handling extensions for a fee if you want longer. Before you travel, everyone completes the online immigration and customs form at travelform.gov.bb.
Every child needs their own passport, from birth. Barbados charges a departure tax of 55 Barbados dollars, about £21 (last checked August 2026), and children pay it from the age of two, the same rate as adults. Most airlines include it in the ticket price.
