Dominican Republic: passport and entry requirements
The Dominican Republic is visa-free for a holiday, with one online form to fill in before you arrive. Your passport needs to be valid for the length of your visit, an arrangement that runs until the end of 2026.

Your passport
Your passport has to be valid for the duration of your visit. That's a temporary arrangement running until 31 December 2026, so if you're travelling after that, check the rule again before you book, as it can be replaced by a stricter one.
Everyone travels on their own passport, whatever their age, and children's passports last five years against an adult's ten, so check each when you book and sort any renewal in good time, since it takes weeks to come through.
Getting in
You don't need a visa to visit the Dominican Republic for tourism, and you're admitted for up to 30 days, which you can extend up to 120 days for a fee once you're there. Before you arrive, everyone completes the E-Ticket, an online entry and exit form at eticket.migracion.gob.do, filled in within seven days of travelling. It gives you a QR code to show at check-in and at the border, and it covers your customs declaration too, so there's nothing separate to fill in on the plane.
Every child needs their own passport and their own entry on the E-Ticket, the youngest included. If an under-18 is travelling on their own, check the airline's rules and the Dominican Immigration Service's first, since separate conditions apply to them.
