Mauritius: passport and entry requirements
In Mauritius each passport just needs to cover your trip, and there's no visa for a holiday. Before you fly there's a free online travel form to complete for every traveller, the children too.

Your passport
Mauritius asks only that each passport stays valid for the length of your trip and has at least one blank page. A passport with little time left can still be fine here, as long as it covers your dates.
Check every passport when you book all the same, so nobody's runs out mid-trip. A child's passport expires sooner than an adult's, so those are the ones to check first.
Getting in
British holidaymakers don't need a visa and can stay up to 60 days. Before you arrive, everyone completes the Mauritius All-in-One travel form online, which gathers the arrival paperwork in one place. You get a QR-coded copy to show at the airport, and if you haven't done it in advance you fill in a disembarkation card when you land instead.
The form is a per-traveller declaration, so everyone in the family goes on it, with a parent completing it for each child, and there's no fee. Carry proof of your return or onward flight as well, since immigration officials can ask to see it.
Every child needs their own passport, from birth, valid for the length of the stay and with a blank page. Each child also goes on the All-in-One travel form, completed by a parent on their behalf.
