Singapore: passport and entry requirements
Singapore lets UK families in for a holiday without a visa. Everyone still needs a free arrival card, which carries a short health declaration and is filled in online in the days before you fly, and each passport needs six months left on it.
Your passport
Each passport needs to be valid for at least six months after the day you arrive. That's measured from your arrival, not your flight home, so give yourself a comfortable margin.
Check the whole family's passports when you book. A child's comes up for renewal more often than an adult's, so it's the one most likely to be running short, and a new one takes several weeks.
Getting in
British citizens don't need a visa for a holiday. You're admitted as tourists on arrival, for a stay of between 30 and 90 days set by the officer, and that applies to everyone in the family individually.
Before you fly, each traveller completes the SG Arrival Card, an electronic form that also carries a short health declaration, in the three days before you arrive. There's one per person, babies and young children included, though a parent can fill in a child's from their passport details and submit the whole family in one go. It's free.
Every child needs their own passport, at any age, valid as long as the adults'. Each one also needs their own arrival card, which a parent completes from the child's passport details. A single group submission can cover the whole family.
Use the official channel, not a paid copy
Plenty of lookalike sites offer to file the arrival card for you and charge a fee. Go straight to Singapore's own ICA e-Service or the MyICA app, the only official routes, rather than the paid copies that show up alongside them in search results.
