Disney Cruise Line has published its sailings for autumn 2027 and spring 2028. For UK families the main news is the Disney Wish. After its first season in Europe, the ship crosses the Atlantic from Southampton and spends a few weeks sailing from New York before returning to Florida. In Florida, the Disney Destiny moves to Port Canaveral, the cruise port nearest Walt Disney World, for the first time.
From Southampton to New York
The crossing is a one-way, 12-night sailing that leaves Southampton on 17 September 2027 and arrives in New York on 29 September. It calls at Greenock in Scotland, Reykjavik in Iceland and St John’s in Newfoundland. The crossing sold out soon after it went on sale, before general booking opened on 8 September 2026. Disney says cabins become available again if other guests cancel.
From New York, the Wish sails seven cruises of four to seven nights between 29 September and 31 October 2027. Some call at Bermuda and others head north to New England and Canada. Most of the October sailings are Halloween on the High Seas cruises. The last New York sailing ends in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on 5 November.
This is a short season, not a new home port. After sailing from San Juan, the Wish goes back to Port Canaveral for three- and four-night cruises to the Bahamas.
Destiny moves to Port Canaveral
The Disney Destiny, the third of Disney’s Wish-class ships, moves to Port Canaveral in November 2027, the first time it has been based there. With the Wish and the Disney Treasure also sailing from the port, that puts all three ships of the same design at Port Canaveral at once. Short cruises from there are often added to the end of a Walt Disney World holiday.
Booking opened to Castaway Club members on 31 August 2026 and to everyone else on 8 September. Itineraries and dates are on Disney Cruise Line’s UK website.
This story was updated in October 2026 to add that the Southampton crossing had sold out.
