The bridge leading into Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park has reopened after nearly six months of work. It is the main way into the castle from Central Plaza, and through the castle to Fantasyland. Disneyland Paris announced the reopening on 12 October 2026, 35 years to the day since the castle was first shown to the press and cast members in 1991, the year before the park opened.

Most of the bridge has been rebuilt. The stamped concrete on the deck has been replaced with granite paving, laid in 2,735 pieces to follow the bridge’s curve. The stone balusters and the carved arches beneath have been remade, and the drawbridge has a new timber deck.

In the middle of the bridge there’s a new compass rose in stone and brass, in the blue, red and green of the three good fairies from Sleeping Beauty. A brass medallion of Aurora’s crown sits at its centre, and a brass fleur-de-lis points north. The fleur-de-lis is a nod to the four brass letters that marked the compass points on the bridge when the park opened and were removed in 2010.
