Disney has confirmed that Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, its new hotel at Walt Disney World in Florida, opens on 1 July 2027. It’s on the shore of Bay Lake near Magic Kingdom, on the site of the old River Country water park between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. Bookings opened on 6 October 2026 for Disney Vacation Club members, 7 October for annual passholders and 8 October for everyone else.

Rooms from studios to lake houses

There are 967 rooms. The hotel’s standard resort rooms are themed to Pocahontas and have a mini fridge and a microwave. Rooms with two queen beds sleep four and rooms with one king sleep two. Club-level rooms include use of The Artist’s Nest, a lounge with views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

The studios and villas are Disney Vacation Club accommodation, and anyone can book them. Duo studios, themed to Encanto, sleep two. Deluxe studios, themed to Bambi, sleep four and have a kitchenette. The one- and two-bedroom villas sleep five and nine, with a full kitchen plus a washing machine and dryer. Three-bedroom grand villas, themed to Fantasia, sleep up to 12.

The Lake Houses are new to Disney hotels. They’re freestanding A-frame houses on the waterfront, themed to Brother Bear, with floor-to-ceiling windows, a full kitchen, a washing machine and dryer and a private porch facing the lake. A one-bedroom house sleeps five and a two-bedroom house sleeps eight.

Early stays for members

Disney Vacation Club members can stay before the official opening on a First Wave package from 24 to 27 June 2027, which members can book from 7 November 2026.
